禁断の恋のようなどきどきするコレクション、2017春夏チカキサダ Taste forbidden love with Rekisami and Chika Kisada 2017 SS
人は見かけで判断できない。日本ではそう感じる機会がすごく多い。
真っ黒のモードな服を着ていても、中身はすごく明るくて社交的な人もいれば、デコラ系ファッションを着ていても、実はダークでディープなカルチャーが大好きな人もいる。同じ系統のファッション同士でつるんでばかりでもなく、ファッションの垣根を超えてコミュニケーションの橋がかけられる。
Chika Kisada (とRekisamiの) デザイナー、Kisadaさんは、パンクとバレエを融合するということをブランドコンセプトにかかげ、コレクションを作り続けてきた。
そして2017春夏コレクションでもそれは、美しく優雅でありながら、激しさもある「強いエレガンス」を見せつけている。
Judging people upon a glance is not easy. I find it’s even more difficult in Japan, where people don’t really make their true colors obvious.
For example, there are people in head to toe black, but in fact they’re very bright and sociable. Then there are girls and boys in colorful childlike clothing who are into the deepest darkest subcultures. Fashion is certainly a way to build likeminded communities, but not everyone wants to hang out with people who look just like them. Instead, fashion can be a bridge to other genres and points of view.
Rekisami (and Chika Kisada) designer Chika Kisada has been designing clothes as a veteran ballet dancer, but with a punk spirit (she woman herself has had some major ink done and she doesn’t hide it. “I don’t think I could ever be a ballerina with the tattoo now right?!” She laughed. I think she totally should). And the 2017 SS collection is a pitch perfect blend of elegant finishes and rusty edges.
バレリーナの私服と聞いて思い浮かぶのは、淡いピンクのセーター。レース、フリル。そんなイメージを抱く人は少なくないだろう。実際、黒いモード服やスキニー、などかっこいい系のファッションスタイルのバレリーナは沢山いるが、”パンク”となるとどうだろう？
バレエとパンクは真逆の物のように感じる。クラスの優等生組と、やんちゃ組みたいなイメージ。
決して交わることのなかったロミオとジュリエットが完璧に、一緒に服に収まっている状態を目の前にして、ドキドキしないわけがない。
今シーズンも、デザイナー:チカキサダが作りだす禁断の恋のようなクリエーションに、一目で恋に落ちる女子続出の予感だ。(もちろん、彼女が手がけるもうひとつのブランド、レキサミも要チェック！ひとりで2ブランドも、同時期に手掛けているなんて、キサダさんのポテンシャルは計り知れない…)
When thinking of a ballerina’s private wardrobe, most people’s minds might go straight to a light pink sweater. Or lace. Or frills. Of course there are ballerinas who pull off black skinny jeans and dark looks, but what exactly does a punk ballerina style look like?
It’s like the embodiment of two opposites, of Romeo and Juliet into a fashion line; two different styles, two different moods, two different levels of class…or so it seemed. Just looking at the pieces in front of my face, it’s certainly exciting. The frills are here, but it’s warped. Or it’s dangerously see-thru. I can’t help but feeling my heart beat faster.
She’s been at this boundary-pushing game for a while now, and once again she’s produced a collection that like a forbidden love. You’re not supposed to really love it but damn if it doesn’t totally envelop you in it’s presence. And not only that, but Chika Kisada is also the designer of Rekisami, which has a massive following of Japanese women who go to the brand for edgy but pretty things every season. With two brands to take care of she’s a wonder woman, but it seems like she’s pirouette-ing her way through it like it’s nothing at all. See both brand collections below:
