When the apprentice becomes the master.
In Japan, a tambourine evokes the image of a sloppy late night karaoke session after hitting up your 3rd or 4th bar. It’s the easiest instrument for those who want to join in on a jam but can’t play (or sing, let’s face it). As a unisex

Clash of the sexes. John Lawrence Sullivan 2014 AW
When it comes to brands that go bi…. doin’ both the ladiez and the menzwear, why is it always like the grass is hotter on the other side? When looking at the womenswear collection from JLS there seemed to be missing a “punch” (*cough* punny fact: the designer was a pro boxer in his pre-fashion
Otaku fashion gets better? Jenny Fax FW 2014 ◎
With a mix of Asian, European, retro, futurism, DIY and couture elements, the Jenny Fax 2014-15 AW collection is like Neapolitan spaghetti with all the fixings…and she’s throwing it at the wall to see what sticks. It’s heaven AND hell. The truth about shopping in Tokyo, a guide
… It’s well-known that Tokyo is a shopper’s paradise. It is the mecca. The kingdom. It is the Sun, and the rest of us revolve around it with wide eyes. And the Japanese shopping experience is also known to be cosmically good. Service and cleanliness are top. But there are some things you
LAMARCK goes Benjamin Button..and dangerous for AW 2014◎
Emerging brand LAMARCK calls this collection “Catagenesis”, or regressive evolution, like an adult getting their child on. Is it a call to arms against “only the strongest survive”? A plea to get simple? …Nevermind the complicated questions and feast your eyes upon the accessories, which are nothing if not super-evolutionized. Photos ©Koji Shimamura
