LAST NITE A DJ SAVED MY WARDROBE. FASHION ICON DJ PELI LAUNCHES HER ONLINE SHOP “PAMEO POSE” IN SIGNATURE EDGY STYLE

個性的な甘辛スタイルで知られているファッションアイコンDJ PELIがディレクションをつとめるオンラインショップ『PAMEO POSE』がついにローンチ！まずはこのビジュアルから世界観を味わってほしい！

So New York and Paris aren’t the only ones who can elevate a DJ to fashion superstar. Enter Peli, who is the go-to girl for all fashion-related music needs because girlfriend knows how to show up looking like a superstar. She’s a got a pin-up girl vibe, with both sweet and frosty undertones like rockabilly and glamour, giving her fashion and musical tastes a millefueille of layers.

周知の通り、ファッションとDJとは今や切っても切れない関係。ニューヨークやパリでは特にその傾向が顕著で、人気DJはファッションシーンにおいてもスーパースターとなることが珍しくない。そんな中、日本のDJシーンからもまたもや一人のスーパースターが誕生した。ガールズDJの華、PELIはその高い音楽性ときらびやかな出で立ちで国内外のファッションパーティーにおいて今や無くてはならない存在。

What many may not know is that Peli graduated from Bunka Fashion College (holla!) and also has major chops in the styling department working for Vogue Girl, NYLON and many others. So it was only natural that she delve more into that world as a fashion icon, and that means directing her own online shop PAMEO POSE. The ads she and her team produced feature everyone’s favorite NYC underground burlesque performer Amanda Lepore in the “seven sins” portraying a different color for each one. When I saw who they’d chosen to launch the shop, I knew it was an edgy choice (do many people here know Amanda? But then I realized that Peli’s fans will have known Amanda since birth.) but a necessary one that Tokyo’s scene needs these days.

それもそのはず、彼女は文化服装学院出身の本物のファッションウーマンで、スタイリストとしてVOGUE GirlやNYLONをはじめ数々の雑誌等媒体で活躍し、自身のスタイルでも注目されるアイコンなのだ。スタイリスト、DJと絶好調の彼女が次のステップとして選んだのが、自身がディレクションをつとめるセレクトショップPAMEO POSE。“Seven Sins(７つの大罪)”と名付けられオープンに先立ち公開されたイメージビジュアルには、世界一有名なトランスジェンダーアマンダ先生ことAmanda Leporeを起用し早くも話題沸騰中。と、に、か、く、日本のファッションシーンが忘れかけていたエッジースタイルここにあり、と言わんばかりにこのイメージビジュアルがインパクト絶大なのでまずつべこべ言わずに見てほしい。

The shop is the main thing here, and items are picked up from Peli’s choices all around the world (she actually goes abroad and does all of the buying, too). The grand opening is FRIDAY 15th at 12 NOON! You can see a preview here:PAMEOPOSE

When it launches on Friday this is what will be available (my own little selection of favorites) from brands like JC De Castelbajac, Tripp NYC, Piers Atkinson, Niels Peeraer, Eugenia Kim, etc.

Then, from March 16th, PamePo will be popping up right outside Laforet in Lapnet Ship. Here Peli will be on hand to offer styling advice and you can chat her up. There’s also going to be a huge launch party at Las Chicas on the 15th where Amanda Lepore will actually be coming to kick off the event! If you missed her at Ageha last October, then this is your chance to get a glimpse at a really fun performance.
