Nude n Rude doesn’t sugarcoat what they’re all about: being highly offensive. A small shop that is on the fringe of the city as well as the fringe of society, it’s a bit of a hat trick since from the outside it appears to be kind of a pop-lingerie shop. It’s dolled up all sweet but underneath it’s got mad ‘tude. …imagine a purple fluffy bunny that’s so adorable…and then b**ch bites your finger off. Gross, yeah, but you go along with it because it’s just so weirdly CUTE.

You might want to cool off before going in if you’re not into: the occult, S&M, religious paraphernalia, interspecies sexual deviancy, Wicca, violence against stuffed animals, Tim Burton, and rainy days. Otherwise, it’s generally a happy place. ..alright, it’s truly as offensive as a Disneyland gift shop.
The owner/designer for the Nude n Rude brand Riria is a living epitome of a electro goth-pop character. I like how the goth trend now encompasses the bright colors of the kawaii trend and yet it’s still so loud and rude and PUNK. When NHK came to interview for the Kawaii Intl show there were so many shots we couldn’t air on TV lest we rile up angry mobs of offended viewers. To be fair, it’s all for show and I highly doubt Riria is sacrificing teddy bears at night. She said she cose to put her shop in Koenji because it’s so removed from Harajuku she can do whatever she wants. Hm, I wonder what it would look like if she took it to the next level? A mad house, no doubt about it.
